Starting from Manerba porto Torchio, we will take you to the Gulf of Pisenze. The transparent water is ideal for swimming and relaxing in complete tranquility while enjoying a spectacular view.
2
Along the way you will spot Isola dei Conigli (rabbit island), as it is known here. Its real name is Isola di San Biagio. The island is owned by the campsite of the same name on the opposite shore. Since April 2007, access is subject to a fee.
San Biagio island was once the hunting grounds for the lords who lived in the 17th century Villa in the center of the campsite. At the beginning of the 19th century, farmers placed farmyard animals such as chickens and rabbits on the island.
These, being notoriously afraid of water, did not escape.
3
On reaching the Gulf of Pisenze you will be able to look up to the magnificent view of Rocca di Manerba. The rocky spur overlooking the lake boasts steep cliffs and native vegetation such as the hornbeam, downy oak, butcher's broom, honeysuckle and hellebore, which coexist with trees and bushes typical of the Mediterranean scrub. The body of water between Pisenze and Porto Dusano has become a lake park of the Rocca and Sasso Nature Reserve.
4
Before returning to Porto Torchio, we will sail towards Garda Island, which you can comfortably admire from our boat along with the crystal clear waters that surround it. The island now holds a magnificent villa in Venetian neo-Gothic style and is surrounded by hanging Italian and English gardens and a centuries-old park hosting species from the most remote corners of the globe.
